GREENKOTE low friction properties improves the performance of motion control components in automotive external rear view mirrors.

GREENKOTE PM-1 coatings for Sintered and MIM components used in safety critical automotive systems.
BEST IN CLASS PROTECTION. COST-EFFECTIVE OPTIONS.

The GREENKOTE® automotive product line offers a broad choice of cost-effective protective coatings for parts and other automotive applications. GREENKOTE coatings give components extraordinary corrosion protection at ambient and elevated temperatures, improving wear resistance and reducing friction.

Our coatings provide excellent adhesion for steel parts bonded to natural and synthetic elastomers and plastics combined with corrosion resistance, and anti-seizing properties at a wide range of temperatures. They can be used:

  • For sintered and porous materials
  • As a base coat for paints, sealers, E-coat and other multilayer topcoats
  • For uniform coating of small and precision parts with complicated shapes (MIM)
  • Fasteners, body hardware, door closure and lock parts
  • Steel inserts for rubber and polyurethane moldings
  • Exhaust, suspension, and engine components
  • Springs, clamps and hose connections

The right solution.

The GREENKOTE product line gives automotive manufacturers and Tier-1 and 2 suppliers a host of options for their automotive applications. Also, our coatings are applicable to both mass production and small batch runs for unsurpassed production flexibility for a broad range of base metals and modification element combinations. Our product line includes:

PM Group – Corrosion resistance with medium wear resistance; base for corrosion resistance, low-friction and wear resistant duplex coatings for carbon and low alloy steels and cast irons.

HT Group – High temperature oxidation and wear resistance, anti-seizing properties for temps up to 1000°C for steels, stainless steels and nickel alloys.

HC Group – Surface hardening, anti-seizing properties and corrosion resistance up to 650°C for steels, cast irons and Ti alloys.

Wide market acceptance.

GREENKOTE diffusion coatings are automotive tested and approved by many leaders within the industry including Volkswagen, Audi, Daimler AG, GM and Ford.

The GREENKOTE process successfully won approval from the British Board of Agreement (BBA) under the Highway Authorities Product Approval Scheme (HAPAS). In addition, it is tested in compliance with the standards of the American Society for Testing & Materials (ASTM) and the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Our coatings are in full compliance with the EU End of Life Vehicles (ELV) Directive (2000/53/EC).
